With roots dating back to 1874, Community Counseling Center is one of Maine's oldest and most comprehensive private, nonprofit family service agencies, making positive and lasting changes in the lives of 10,000 individuals and families each year through prevention, education, treatment and wellness programs including abuse counseling, crisis intervention, domestic violence counseling, PTSD counseling, family counseling and more.

Part of the redesign for Community Counseling Center was the inclusion of a filter to assist new visitors in finding the programs and services offered by the center that best suited their needs. Managed using a WordPress custom post type, the new filter provides an easily navigable excerpted list view and a filter module that can be included in the sidebar of any given page. The site also provides a gated area for the center's "Employee Assistance Program" partners, that allows the counseling center to upload documents and resources specific to each partner.

Meredith Perdue is a wildly-talented wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Portland, ME. With a lifetime love of photography and a photojornalistic eye, Meredith's photos capture the essence of the relationships and lives of her subjects.

Built on WordPress, Meredith's site aims to blend both her portfolio and strongest marketing tool (her blog) into a single site. The minimalist design provides little more than a canvas to allow Meredith's work to speak for itself. Flash-free, this portfolio site renders beautifully across platforms and devices, and is built with a constant mind towards search engine performance and optimization.

Since the mid-1800's, Coombs Family Farms, a maple product producer and seller, has been acting as a responsible steward of the forest, following a 'sustainable' approach to agriculture long before anyone had a specific name for it - or could conceive of any other way to farm. As part of a fabric of nearly 8000 maple farmers who are all preserving maple forests and keeping land free from sprawl, Coombs Family Farms is doing more than making maple. They are helping to preserve crucial habitat for thousands of distinct plants and animals that need large intact tracts of forest to survive.

The Coombs Family Farms redesign revolved around the rich story of the Coombs family and its extensive maple farming history and environmental stewardship. The design presented a unique set of challenges for performance and pageweight, and was built on top of WordPress with pixel-perfect HTML and CSS.

The Insitute for Civic Leadership was founded in 1993 following a study by the Unum Charitable Foundation, which revealed the need to rejuvenate and rebuild Greater Portland's civic leadership. Since then, ICL has built Maine's civic capacity by training, supporting, engaging, and convening a growing network of skilled leaders - more than 500 men and women from the private, nonprofit, and public sectors.

On top of a full site redesign and a WordPress content management system, a social networking application was implemented to take advantage of the more than 500 graduates of the various leadership programs the institute provides. The ICLexchange allows alumni to connect, share resources and calendars, and pose questions for each other on the alumni forums.

The Lucas Tree Experts site was redesigned from the ground up. Built on WordPress, the site's content is fully manageable by the client, including the homepage slider and promotional elements in the sidebars - even the seasonally changing background.
